Summer is shaping up to be a busy season with many bookings already confirmed for June. With nightly boarding in high demand, it’s important to understand how the booking process will work over the next few months. Right now, during this slower period, deposits are not required for reservations from June 1 through August 31. This gives you some flexibility when planning your summer stay. However, starting May 1, I will be reaching out to all guests to collect deposits, which should be paid at least 10 days before your booking date. This post will guide you through what to expect, how to prepare, and how to make the most of your summer experience.

What the Current Booking Policy Means for You

Since this is the slow season, I am not requiring deposits at this time for bookings made between June 1 and August 31. This means:

  • You can request your booking without immediate payment.

  • Your reservation will be held tentatively until May 1.

  • On May 1, I will email all guests to arrange deposit payments.

  • Deposits must be paid at least 10 days before your scheduled stay to confirm your booking.

This approach helps manage the busy summer schedule while giving you time to finalize your plans. It also reduces pressure during the early booking phase, allowing you to secure your spot without upfront commitment.

Why Deposits Matter for Summer Bookings

Summer is the busiest time of year for nightly boarding. Deposits serve several important purposes:

  • They confirm your commitment and help avoid last-minute cancellations.

  • They allow me to plan my time and resources effectively.

  • They ensure that your pet’s spot is reserved during peak demand.

By collecting deposits starting May 1, I can balance the needs of all guests and maintain high-quality care throughout the summer months.

How to Prepare for Your Summer Booking

To ensure a smooth experience, here are some practical steps you can take:

  • Mark your calendar for May 1 when you will receive the deposit request email.

  • Plan to pay your deposit at least 10 days before your booking date.

  • Review your pet’s vaccination records and health status to ensure they meet boarding requirements.

  • Prepare any special instructions or items your pet may need during their stay.

  • Communicate any changes or cancellations as early as possible to avoid losing your deposit.

Taking these steps will help prevent last-minute issues and ensure your pet’s boarding experience is enjoyable and stress-free.

What to Expect During a Busy Summer

With many bookings lined up, summer will be a lively time. Here’s what you can expect:

  • Full schedules with nightly boarding filling up quickly.

  • Extra attention to each pet’s needs despite the busy environment.

  • Regular updates and communication to keep you informed.

  • A friendly, welcoming atmosphere where your pet feels safe and cared for.

Even though it will be busy, I am committed to providing personalized care and making sure every guest has a positive experience.

Tips for a Stress-Free Boarding Experience

To help your pet adjust and enjoy their stay, consider these tips:

  • Bring familiar items like a favorite blanket or toy.

  • Maintain your pet’s regular feeding and exercise routines as much as possible.

  • Provide clear instructions about medications, allergies, or behavioral concerns.

  • Arrive on time for drop-off and pick-up to keep schedules running smoothly.

These small actions can make a big difference in your pet’s comfort and happiness.

Looking Forward to Seeing Everyone This Summer

While I am enjoying some slower days now, I am excited about the busy summer ahead. It’s always rewarding to welcome back familiar faces and meet new guests. Your trust means a lot, and I look forward to providing excellent care for your pets.

If you haven’t booked yet but are planning a summer stay, now is a great time to request your dates. Remember, deposits will be requested starting May 1, so securing your spot early is wise.
